D2Xless
I'm having a run of bad luck. Last night while shooting my friend's wedding I had my Nikon D2X, a pocket wizard and a 2GB card stolen. I actually think the guy in this picture is the thief. He showed up in the back of one of my photos and no one from the wedding party knows who it is. He's also suspiciously looking at my gear which is out of the frame about 10 minutes before I noticed it was gone. Hotel video cameras show nothing.
The worst part is he got my brand new card with a bunch of wedding photos on it. The bastard!
The debate now is whether or not I should replace it or buy something else.
Take pictures with my camera, cheap!

Dude that REALLY SUCKS!!! I hope you have insurance or something to cover the loss as that is a pretty hefty bill to replace all that stuff. At least if you need to replace stuff while in LA you have a bunch of different stores to choose from (Samy's [top floor pro department] & Canoga Camera are good choices)
This is the camera gods telling you it is time to switch to Canon. Remember we have a connection for our buds.
getting your gear torqued is always a big drag. Having my gear torqued twice in the same year had an effect on my life as an adult. Knowing or thinking you know who the culprit is, only adds insult to injury, and makes a man wanna "murda murda murda, and kill kill kill..." but that's the new york in you. Regarding the 2gig card, that's your big loss. Cameras come and go. That's what your insurance is for. Another bit of insurance, (though a pain in the ass) is to have something pocket sized to dump your cards to as quick as you fill them, that fits in your pocket (or your "photo vest") So, thank your crook, and go on a shopping spree man. You've earned it. The crook? oh, he's gonna get his. Trust me. God was watching. (and if there's no God, well... SOMEBODY saw.)
