Found 'Em
I found my compact flash cards. They were in the outside pocket of my camera case. Yay!
No word from the Santa Monica PD.
I made of match.com portrait of a random guy today just for fun and because I could.
I tried to buy another D200 and learned they aren't available anywhere in the country! How does that happen? I thought only 1990s Apple Computer had those problems.
Take pictures.

Hey Clay,
You might end up like me and overpaying for some Nikon gear. I picked up that 18-200 DX VR2 lens at Best Buy for $899. I just happened to stop by there and had been searching for it for several months, on a daily basis at several sites online. I went a little crazy for the price, but I can say that I am very happy with the lens. I do mostly nightlife stuff and it's done me good so far, other than the lack of speed/light for the viewfinder. I end up using my spidey-sense for focusing in real dark situations.
It is kind of crazy with the D200. I finally got one because I happened to see one online and bought it. Last week a few places received shipments but they sold out within a day.
I know you probably don't want the 18-70 lens but if you do they are still in Southern California Canoga Camera has the kit in stock. There going for $1999.
Either way good luck with the police!
If you end up near Edwards AFB on your southern california journey you should say hello!
Hey Clay,
I've been on the hunt for a D200 myself. I just got on the wait list at Photocare and they said it shouldn't be but 2 weeks. (212) 741-2990.
The batteries are on back order, too!

I have noticed that my own compact flash cards grow legs and walk away.
All this talk about the D200 makes me want to finally get one. My D100 needs a brother.
