I'm Not Patrick

I got robbed again at a wedding, 300 bucks cash this time. I shot some advertising stuff for Full Throttle. I made some portraits for dailycomedy.com. I bought an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 and it takes up a big part of my desk. I've been in the city but not overly keen on blogging. I haven't made many photos for myself the past few weeks. I have had some ideas, just no initiative.

I shot a friend's party last night in a the swanky part of town and several people told me Patrick McMullen was around. I thought, who the heck is Patrick McMullen? I could Google the guy, I guess, but I don't really care. A club owner asked me if I wanted to be him. I wasn't even sure how to answer that. Would I want to be a different photographer? Would he want to be a different club owner? Odd.

Apparently this McMullen guy wasn't even taking pictures last night. He was being video taped just walking around the clubs. Fame for fame's sake I guess. No interest. I simply muttered to the club owner that I was interested in a darker side of nightlife. He just looked at me with a polite bewilderment and I went my way. I unlocked my urban camouflaged bicycle from in front of the velvet roped crowd and peddled off.

Take pictures, stay yourself.

Wow the 4800, I have yet to buy a "good" printer for my photography. That sounds like a good one!

Weddings are costly for many reasons, it seems. That's why we eloped.

LOL!!!
This was a great post. Have to start reading your blog more often. If only more people had your level of reasoning.
