Blurb's New Sizes

Digging around my India pictures I came across this texture. What is it? Is it the work of a child learning his numbers? Is it a score card? Who knows.

Speaking of India and more importantly, you may remember I made a lovely gift book from some of my favorite images a while back using blurb.com. (They were a big hit with my mother who proceeded to order fifteen more copies). As of yesterday, Blurb has three new sizes for their photo books. I am most excited about the six-inch square one.

Make pictures and books.

Hi, I got inspired to try making a book using Blurb, and I was wondering if you knew anything about how the colors turns out. I am using iPhoto on my MacBook, adding them easily to blurbs BookSmart. The thing is that the colors turn out significantly less saturated when added, and when for example seen in preview mode. It is nothing wrong with iPhoto, as I have set it up against the same pictures on different browsers and my macs Preview. I guess my question is; does the preview mode in BookSmart show exactly what the printed book will look like, or do I trust the colors to be like the original colors in the photos?

monitor calibration and consistency across platforms/presses/printers is out of my league. i calibrate my monitor and hope for the best. i saw no difference between my booksmart preview images and those same shots in photoshop. that could just be me. sorry i can't be more informative

awesome texture! have you used it yet? I came across your blog searching for ways to add texture using iphoto. I just recently got my first mac and photoshop hasn't come in the mail yet.

anyway, you didn't really need to know all that, but wanted to say I love that texture.
