Punta Del Este Portraits

Okay, I finally got all my Punta Del Este portraits edited down and up on my .Mac site. Some of them are a bit rushed and others are cropped poorly but quite honestly I haven't been into post production efforts of late. I am much more interested in shooting.

Sitting on my ass in front of a computer for hours on end isn't what I signed up for when I got into photography. At least in the darkroom you moved around a bit. I suppose that's the price of increased productivity.

Aquí están todas las fotos.

Make pictures.

wow, amazing, how did you do this, technically....and shoot-wise (like, what did you say to her during the shoot)

i don't say much. usually i have to wait for them to stop smiling. in her case i knew she was going to photograph well so i took a moment, collected myself and my thoughts and made pictures. i may have asked her to lower her chin a bit, nothing more.

it's natual light. open shade. but in this one frame for whatever reason a little light kicked up on her cheek. no other shot in the session (maaybe 10 total) has that light.

it's a little gift.

thanks for taking me such a nice picture. I'm usually slightly reluctant to be photographed, but the embarrassment was worthwhile just to see the face you put while working. I think people should make pictures of photographer's faces and expressions rather than the ones of models, they are far more interesting.
