Ugly Night?

I suppose that photo is anonymous enough. I only her know her first name anyway.

While we're on the subject of ugly...I thought about pulling up some of my night stuff. I have tons of this sort of thing and very little has been seen. It's my balanced ambient light and flash work that due to the racy subject matter has taken a back seat to more "commercial" images. We'll see how long that lasts. I think it's strong, distinctive and arguably more commercial than people on white backgrounds simply becasue it's edgy. But what do I know? This is an ongoing debate.

Make pictures, don't debate.

your night time flash work is what brought me to this yard at the beginning. that work is ace.

i love that you are in my "yard." that reminds me of growing up and building forts. if it was in my yard, i was captain, if it was in steve or tony's yard, they were the captain.

forgive the flashback. there are no captains here.

i'll share more night stuff soon. i'm going to start diggin' through it as i put together another blurb.com book.

it would be good if you could build a story in night ambience with you´r night style. that would be a nice idea.
all the best

Good stuff. Do you ever get any "flack" about shooting in clubs? I do a ton of freelance for a couple of entertainment mags. But would love to go in and shoot while not working. Thanks Clay

Hi Clay, I'm a huge fan of yours from Toronto, Canada. So much so that I had to mirror your website design, as it was brilliant. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If you have the time I would be honored if you took a look at my stuff at www.danielsdiaz.com I also work for a company that requires club shots. Please don't kill me for copying your web design. I really liked it and your incredible work!
