My Book Cover

I knew it was happening obviously. But seeing my book listed on Amazon.com makes it more real than ever. Anyone who knows me and spoke to me during the filming of Watchmen knows how hard I worked and how exhausting the whole process was for me. This is really a treat to see.

The coffee table book is an odd goal for a photographer. I've been in pursuit of such a thing since I began the Streetstudio project with Steven Ghukfvin almost a decade ago. Now, with almost the flick of the wrist, the Watchman machine has made my dream come true.

Okay, so I won't see a dime from book sales. Let's be clear, I wouldn't have seen a dime on any first book. I'm not in Natasha Merritt territory. Just having one fall in your lap is bordering on priceless. I am always thankful and today, having just seen the Amazon listing, I'm downright giddy.

Make pictures.

...without the labor pains, scholarship fund, or need for diapers. the sleep deprivation came while making the photos. ;-)

Just bought it. It's a piece of work, Clay! Forty quid in the Uk - not too bad! Why won't you see any money from the sales? Shame..

I'll be picking up the book in a few days, but i had a chance to thumb through a friends copy. I have to say that it is a wonderful collection of portraits. What struck me as the most beautiful part of the whole book was that your photos of gaffers, grips, and extras, visually held the same weight as your shots of the "stars" of the show. I think you captured the some wonderful images of the people who make the movies happen. Congratulations!!!
