Night Revisited
I am shooting Monday and Tuesday for a commercial in a style I know well. Tonight I went out to the "set" that is the original Coyote Ugly just to see how my new camera would fare.
Inevitably, the night provided. I shot this group of tourists enjoying themselves using my 24-70mm lens and a little customization to my on-camera flash not worth mentioning. (It's an uncropped image). Two other images are part of my Flickr stream if you're interested. I'm not sure I'll have time to blog about them.
This morning, on my walk to Gimme Coffee in Ithaca, NY, I was thinking about this style of work. I originally came to it in response to frustrations related to my Streetstudio project. After years of distance, it's interesting to see it through more contented eyes. It's interesting to see what images attract me now. It'll be twice as interesting to see how it unfolds in the commercial context. I'm excited.
Take pictures, stay tuned.
