Jenesano, Colombia

It's an iPhone shot. I paused for a moment while walking with the dog. Nothing special. The color is off, the quality is horrible, but all is right with the world when you're in Jenesano.

I've said it before but probably never written it down. In Jenesano, all the views you have are of your food. The hills that surround the town are where your cows are raised, where the tomato trees grow, everything but the beer comes from the hills and even then, you pass the brewery on the way. I live in New York City. This kind of thing is the polar opposite of my urban life and one of the great allures to coming down here.

Make pix.

Very cool, Clay. Interesting to see you in action on one of your Colombia trips - walking with a dog, no less!

I do wish Flickr wouldn't require me to log in to see the full size pic.

Just out of curiosity..what is a tomato tree? I thought tomatoes grew on bushes..?

Actually..I don't even think they grow on bushes, they grow on plants. Nonetheless, this is interesting stuff. Tomatoes are very important in the midwest USA during the summer-no joke, people are serious about their tomatoes here
