Torsos
I shot with the Streetstudio last night at part of a gala in New York City benefiting the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. My presence as a "celebrity" photographer was a source of lots of smiles and having the set-up right next to the bar had additional perks.
Amidst the more traditional portraits, I was inspired to make a few torso shots. This one and another that's part of my Flickr stream are two of my favorites.
I enjoy the simplicity and the undistracted nature of these shots. While I love to make eye contact, and faces have their obvious allure, sometimes just a torso can speak volumes.
