Spotted Horse Table
There's lots imperfect about this one but it's speaking to me more than most right now. I've had a fun few days road-tripping with some friends and seeing Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Discussions have been varied and thoughtful while the picture continues to be complicated but bleak when it comes to food. My efforts would merit somewhere around a C-minus and I only get that because my inquiries have generated some mild head tilts of awareness with the folks I've been pestering.
This shot is like a little found poem. It has layers of meaning that can be interpreted any number of ways. I see more each time I look and think about it. Initially I was attracted to the simple napkin holder seemingly all alone on the table without it's usual compliment of condiments. Bending to take the shot I realized it was a bit cluttered but proceeded with my initial interest and kept the aperture at 2.8 and focused on the napkins. Editing, I saw it for more and that's why I'm sharing it.

It's amazing how much information and detail you can find in an image like this. I like it!
Maybe it could be simplified by cropping out the bottom part where the table is a little darker?
Hey Peter, I'm not really into cropping but thanks for commenting. all the best, c
"You see, but you do not observe." Sherlock Holmes to Dr. Watson.
Arthur Conan Doyle.
Clay, you saw AND observed.
For me, it's the small synthetic Christmas tree that pulls me headfirst into deep emotional wanderings through possibilities of meaning..... When's the last time you could say THAT about a picture?
Nice shot and good work.
Yeah - you're being a little hard on this photo - it's beautiful and mysterious - really nice work!
LOL..I was thiking the same thing. How many places can you find a little white artificial Christmas tree in the middle of the summertime? Charming place to stop and eat.
