Las Vespa
I've pit-stopped in Las Vegas to regroup and plan my ongoing Vespadventures. While food is likely to be a continued topic, my trajectory is south of the border and forcing my focus on organic coffee, coffee farmers, and alike.
I anticipate staying in Las Vegas for a couple weeks before heading toward Brownsville, Texas and across the border into Matamoros, Mexico. It was 1993 the last time I made that crossing. I was as a young hitch-hiker coming North. I was on my way from Bogota to Brooklyn.
Now it seems I'm destined to go from BC to Bogota on a Vespa. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose (the more things change, the more they stay the same).
In the coming days and weeks I hope to blog about some of the Summer's Vespa Tour images. A couple folks are pitching the idea as a TV show so I'd love to have feedback around that idea. Post it and I'll share it with the potential producers.
Make pictures.

First let me say how much I've enjoyed following your journey via Vespa since the day you took off on your latest road trip.
I think a tv show like this would be amazing. I know you don't want people 'pitching ideas' here, so I won't do that. But I would love to see a story that dealt with the old saying that the 'camera does not lie' in whatever form that would take. I'd certainly watch that.
Okay - I'll only pitch ONE suggestion for the proposed show. Suggest they cast Ben Browder in the lead. You two look frighteningly similar...it's what hit me as I was looking at today's photo offering. :)
Keep yer lenses dry.
I need that Vespa.
Two places to check out. One food, one real Las Vegas.
Pho Thanh Huong Restaurant on Tropicana. Awesome sandwiches for less than $3. I take all my poor passengers there. http://www.yelp.com/biz/pho-thanh-huong-restaurant-las-vegas#hrid:aHlnlavyTlHRpxJ3yXX5WA
And the Double Down Saloon for all around awesomeness. http://www.doubledownsaloon.com/
BTW, which iPhone app are you using at the Claystation?
Most everything is being run through Lo-Mob and every once in a while TiltShiftGen
Hey Clay! First of all, it was such a great pleasure meeting you. You gave me a lot to think about, whether you knew it or not. I always enjoy checking out your sites and newest "Low-Fi" shots.
A TV show? That sounds like a cool idea, as long as it's not one of those "reality" shows! I would definitely watch!!
Take care on the rest of your journey!!
Clay, you are too young to remember, but there is a cult following for a TV show from 1969/70. It was about a San Francisco beat reporter that "embarks on a journey of self discovery... aboard the motorcycle bequeathed to him by his friend."
Here is a link that keeps the memory alive! http://www.thencamebronson.tv/
You should grab "thencameenos.tv" while you can!
